Supply chains plays a critical role in helping companies achieve growth objectives. In today’s markets, companies are increasingly challenging their supply chains on multiple dimensions, including flexibility, cost reduction, predictable risk management and customer service levels.

I have spent couple of years in consulting and had
a) Consulted USHA International Limited between April 2014 till March 2015
b) Consulted a Chinese Lighting Company Firefly Lighting about their Global growth strategy as well as analysis of India Market as a potential for current and fture business
c) Consulted Livguard , an organization which is a major in Batteries and Water purification to diversify into Appliance business in a short time.

Key Contributions throughout the career

  • Created a Central Procurement Organization, Delivered Efficiencies and set up processes and International Supply Chain Platform making Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Key to USHA’ s growth between 2010-14.
  • As Managing Director of Havells Sylvania(Asia) restructured Asia business, created new territories for business in Far East & led the company successfully post-recession of 2008.
  • Created and Integrated with rest of world business a truly Global Sourcing and Supply Chain organization in China, helping Sylvania globally to turn around by Supply Chain Efficiencies during stay at Havells Sylvania.
  • Set up and Integrated with the global sourcing an Indian Sourcing Organization that became an Global foot print at Frigoglass.
  • Contributed significantly to bring up local Supply Chain organizations in FIAT, Schlumberger and delivered efficiencies.
  • Developed laterally into Project Management, Plant management, Business Development and Restructuring Roles whenever the organizations needed and delivered results.

I am currently placed as : Operating Principal – Group Supply Chain and Product Management ( SAR Group)

April 2015 -March 2016: Led a Chinese Lighting Company “Firefly Lighting Company” to Establish in India. Worked to identify the right partners in India and worked with all stake holders & regulatory organizations.

  • August 2015-February 2016 also consuled LIVGUARD an Indian Brand in Power and Water purification to expand its business horizons to Consumer Durable segments. Already launched Air Purifier, Range of Water Heaters and Room heaters.

From Apr 2010- April 2014 worked With Usha International Ltd as Vice President, Head – Global Sourcing & Procurement.

From 2007 to 2010 Worked with “Havells Sylvania Ltd.” as Managing Director (Asia business-2009-10) as well as General manager and Head – Sourcing and Supply Chain -Guangzhou China.

From 2005-2007 worked with  Frigoglass Group as  Global Sourcing Manager(Head IPO India). Frigoglass is Greek origin global leader in glass door merchandisers.

From 1998 – 1999 worked with Magnetti Marrelli Thermal Systems ( a FIAT Group Company) as Purchasing and Logistics Manager.

From 1996 – 1998 worked with Schlumberger Industries Asst. Manager Purchasing.

From 1990 – 1996 ONIDA Group (Consumer Electronics, Partners of JVC in India) as Senior Executive – Purchasing & Vendor Development.

MBA from IGNOU India  -1996-99

Mechanical Engineering from Institutions of Engineers, Kolkata, India -1990

Diploma in Mechanical Engg from Board Of Technical Education, Delhi University -1986-89
